Many members of the our quilting community are working with me on the
Anniversary Sampler Quilt. I designed the quilt to coincide with the end of my first year as Quilting Guide here at About.com, and as a way to move into year two by adding a block-a-month to the quilt skeleton you see in the illustration. It's about time to reveal the second block, so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce our new community members to the quilt, because there's plenty of time to join in the fun.

I've had some feedback from some of you about calling the first block simply
Block One -- and I agree it's definitely not a pretty or creative description. The design is similar to the traditional Fox & Geese block, but with some of the units flipped-flopped. Can you think of a good name for it?

Thanks. I might be able to put this to good use. :)
